Due to the prohibitive cost of operating safely and in an environmentally friendly manner in two existing plants in Lansing, Mich., General Motors Corporation constructed two new facilities (the Grand River Assembly and Delta Township plants) to replace them. The new facilities are capable of producing vehicles more efficiently, economically and safely. Study Proposes I-10 Bypass Could Ease Truck Traffic Flow →

(AP) The Arizona Transportation Board may study an Interstate 10 bypass route that would allow trucks and other traffic to avoid the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas. S.L. Schorr, who represents Pima County on the board, proposed the bypass at a board meeting Dec. 14 in Tucson, saying it’s needed because the interstate is getting more congested. Schorr said Tucson is the only city along the I-10 route from California to Florida that does not have a bypass option for trucks or those who don’t intend to get off the highway in the city.  Click for more...

(1.8 m) discharge height, 50-hp (37 kW) motor, 44-ft. (1.3 m) in length and capable of 1,000 ton (907 t) per hour. Superior’s RazerTail truck unloaders are road portable and can be moved from job to job. From Construction Equipment Guide... A small crew from Pete’s Trucking and Demolition were called to Boca Raton, FL, this summer to repair damage caused last year during Hurricane Wilma. The Plantation, FL-based company brought its Kawasaki 80ZV wheel loader and a Komatsu D39 bulldozer to build a 6-ft. tall berm along SR 441 for Boca Woods Country Club.
