BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - Two construction workers were injured, one seriously, after being stuck by a bolt of lightning in Bonita Springs. The News-Press of Fort Myers ( http://newspr.es/1EFtGTW ) reports four brothers were working on the roof of a home Wednesday afternoon. D. Peck Roofing owner Dave Peck says the men were working on the job site when the lightning struck. The bolt hit them just before they started to climb down a ladder after hearing thunder. SCHUYLER, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a construction worker died Saturday in northeast Nebraska while trying to free a cement truck. The Colfax County Attorney’s office told the Columbus Telegram ( http://bit.ly/1FCoMx3 ) that 26-year-old Craig Anderson of Columbus died Saturday around 8 a.m. while working south of Schuyler. Mr. Berling worked for Ford Motor Company’s Rouge Plant in an office setting responsible for shipping cars from 1966 to 1987. MARTINEZ, Calif. (AP) - Officials say a pregnant woman was fatally crushed in her driveway by a gravel trailer that tipped onto her car. The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1Bjs9C8) that Lindsey Combs, 32, had been asked by a Martinez city-contracted construction crew to move her car farther away from a sidewalk construction project.
