Wacker Neuson
Wacker Neuson's redesigned 2.5-ton excavator, the EZ26, offers comfort and performance features typically found in larger models. The compact package with a minimal tail swing design can easily work in confined areas while also featuring a spacious, comfortable cab, similar to those found in 4- to 6-ton models.
The EZ26 is an excellent mini-excavator for utility applications such as fiber optic, plumbing and drainage, as well as general landscaping and rental, the manufacturer said.
The EZ26 is powered by an 18.2-hp Yanmar diesel engine with a maximum digging depth of 9-ft. 10-in. and bucket breakout force of 5,080 lbs. This new EZ26 keeps the weight low and dimensions compact enough for easy transport behind most half-ton trucks while still increasing lifting and stability over its predecessor.
A new feature added to the EZ26 is a load sensing hydraulic system that regulates the flow rate according to demand. This provides consistent and precise control regardless of the load. The machine adjusts to the load and the joystick movements are always kept the same for the operator, resulting in a smooth operating experience.
The new cabin design features a large entry door, ergonomic layout of controls and excellent visibility around the machine. All new for this EZ26 is the addition of air conditioning to the cab. The two-part front windshield enhances working comfort with greater ventilation and makes communication between operators and others on the job site easier.
The upper front window can be raised over the operator's head, where it is stored safely, leaving the lower pane in place for splash protection. The lower pane also can be raised to completely open the front of the cab. The EZ26 also is available in a canopy edition.
