Tyler Equipment hosted an open house event Sept. 11, 2019, at its Berlin, Conn., location.
Attendees were invited to see Volvo's new special edition Discovery Gold Rush EC 200E excavator. Volvo's new special edition Gold Rush EC 200E excavator is touring the country in celebration of Discovery's Gold Rush television series 10th anniversary.
This new EC200E, 20-ton size class excavator, features a one-of-a-kind custom gold paint job that took 140 hours to complete. It has a custom premium air-conditioned and heated leather seat with embroidered logos, and Superior Tire and Rubber Corp. CUSHOTRAC Clamp-On track pads.
The excavator is being hauled by the new Volvo VNX 740 8x4 tractor and rides on a Rogers 3-axle 110,000-lb. capacity front load trailer.
Attendees were invited to enjoy lunch and climb in the Gold Rush excavator. They could also test drive Volvo's EC 200L excavator and the ECR88 excavator with the Steelwrist tiltrotator attachment.
Steelwrist and Allied were set up with display tents and representatives ready to answer any questions.
Tyler Equipment is a family business founded by M. Brooke Tyler Sr. in 1922. Its two locations in Berlin, Conn., and East Longmeadow, Mass., serve Southern New England. With approximately 60 employees between both locations, the company offers sales, rentals, parts and service. CEG
