Aggregate Equipment Guide
The newest in the line of Volvo compact wheel loaders — the L20H and L25H — are designed to meet the latest emission regulations. As an update from the L20F, the new machines are powered by a Volvo D2.6M Tier 4 Final water-cooled engine with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) that eliminates the need for regeneration or additives. The L20H and L25H also have 5 percent greater fuel efficiency and 8 percent more horsepower than their predecessor models. To improve cycle times, the fully automatic hydrostatic drive has two speed settings, with the ability to reach maximum speeds of 18.6 mph (30 kph).
"With their compact size and maneuverability, L20H and L25H are versatile machines for many job sites," said John Comrie, product manager at Volvo Construction Equipment. "For example, the low-profile design is optimal for loading and unloading containers, and the low center of gravity gives added stability for carrying heavy loads on rough terrain."
Standing at a height of 8 ft., 1 in. tall (2,500 mm) and boasting a turning radius of 26 ft., 11 in. (8,210 mm), these H-Series wheel loaders offer excellent maneuverability, even in the most confined spaces.
To increase traction and stability on rough terrains, the L20H and L25H feature an articulated (38°) oscillating (±10°) joint, as well as operator-activated 100 percent differential locks on both axles.
Operator Focused
The H-Series compact wheel loaders offer all-around visibility, have minimal noise and vibration levels and an adjustable steering column. The FOPS/ROPS cab is larger than predecessor models with more window area. For a clean environment in dusty applications, the cab also features one of the largest cab filters in the industry.
A single joystick lever offers control of three functions, including the hydraulic attachments, multi-purpose buckets, sweepers and augers. The flow sharing valve allows lift and tilt corrections during hydraulic attachment operation. The compact wheel loaders are fitted with a single inching brake pedal, allowing operators to work at a creeping pace.
Matched and Attached
Volvo has a comprehensive range of attachments designed for the compact wheel loader range and engineered to perfectly match the machine's linkage system, hydraulics and driveline. The SSL Attachment Bracket can be used for most skid steer attachments, and Volvo also offers an ISO coupler for use with Volvo attachments.
The optional high-flow hydraulics function delivers up to 2,900 psi/29 gpm (200 bar/110 lt/mim) for use of demanding attachments.
Enhance Your Uptime
To make routine maintenance and daily service checks quick and easy, Volvo compact wheel loaders have long service intervals and ground-level maintenance points.
Customers can also benefit from a range of services and support programs, such as the Volvo Lifetime Frame and Structure Warranty, which covers the frame and articulation joint for the entirety of the initial period of ownership; the 24-Hour* Parts Guarantee; customizable maintenance plans; and the Volvo CareTrack telematics system, which monitors information on a variety of machine data points in real time and provides remote alerts to the fleet manager for improved service scheduling, preventive maintenance and fleet utilization. The L20H and L25H are also eligible for ActiveCare Direct, the new program providing 24/7/365 machine monitoring and fleet utilization reporting directly from Volvo. ActiveCare Direct is free for one year with select new machine purchases, including the L20H and L25H. Learn more at volvoce.com/ActiveCareDirect.
