Alabama, one of country music’s leading bands, will perform at the 2003 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, courtesy of Kenworth Truck Company.
Kenworth is sponsoring the popular group’s performance at Mid-America for the 15th consecutive and final year as a way to thank truckers and the trucking community for their support. The concert is set for Friday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Freedom Hall, adjacent to the truck show. Phil Vassar is scheduled to open for Alabama.
"Alabama and Kenworth have had a close partnership over the past 15 years and we’re very proud to sponsor Alabama one last time for the enjoyment of truckers attending Mid-America," noted Steve Gilligan, Kenworth’s general marketing manager. "We’d like to thank Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry, Jeff Cook and Mark Herndon for the great concerts they’ve put on at the truck show over the years, and wish them the best during their 2003 American Farewell Tour."
Complimentary Alabama concert tickets will be available to CDL holders only (limit of two tickets per person). Tickets, while supplies last, will be distributed in the South Hall Lobby Booth #2 on both Thursday, March 20, starting at 1 p.m., and again on Friday, March 21, starting at 10 a.m.
In addition, Alabama shirts and other Alabama merchandise will be available for sale next to the ticket distribution.
Kenworth Truck Company, a division of PACCAR Inc, is a manufacturer of heavy- and medium-duty trucks.
