Aggregate Equipment Guide
Tracey Road Equipment has announced the purchase of Sterling Trucks of Syracuse, located at 955 Spencer St.
This acquisition gives Tracey the ability to be a full parts and service dealer for Sterling Trucks and the Western Star brand of trucks. In addition, Tracey and Freightliner have added the Sprinter van to their product line offerings. This new van, by Freightliner and Mercedes Benz, is tailored to meet the needs of the U.S. market.
“Sterling gives us a broader product line, which better allows us to meet all of our individual customer needs,” said John Russell, general truck sales manager of Tracey Road Equipment. “Tracey has a strong commitment to meet and exceed all overall industry standards. With the addition of the Sterling and Western Star trucks, it gives Tracey the largest lineup and variety of trucks available from any one dealership anywhere in the region,” he said.
The Sterling Truck acquisition expands Tracey’s ability to offer a variety of trucks from Class 5 through Class 8, that include dump trucks, cement trucks and construction vehicles. Western Star trucks are a Class A severe-duty application machine used most often in mining and logging.
The Sprinter cargo van offers flexibility for individual requirements across a wide range of industries. The van offers a choice of three wheel-bases, two roof heights and two GVWRs that can be ordered to meet specific requirements.
It combines a payload of up to 5,100 lbs. (2,313 kg), with maneuverability and comfort.
Sterling and Western trucks and Sprinter vans are available at all Tracey locations including Syracuse, Binghamton, Watertown and Albany, NY.
The Tracey Group, which is owned by Jerry Tracey, is made up of: Tracey Road Equipment; Tracey Freightliner; Tracey American LaFrance; Tracey Body and Frame; Select Trucks of Syracuse; Select Insurance Company and Tracey Freightliner of Albany.
